Despite the fact that Harp is a relatively young brand - it came only in 1959 to celebrate the 200 anniversary of the brewer Guinness, its relation to the last predetermined its global success and recognition.
At the root of Harp beer was Dr. Herman Mender, famous for the fact that in a short time he managed to fully restore the German breweries, destroyed during the Second World War.
Perhaps that is why the taste of "Harp" is somewhat reminiscent of the best varieties of German beer-type lager. However, thanks to the marketing efforts of the company "Guinness", as in Ireland and throughout the world, Harp is a typical Irish beer and enjoyed great popularity.
